There are more golf courses in England than Ireland, Scotland and Wales put together. In addition to superb seaside golf, England – especially London’s suburban sandbelt – offers play at classic heathland clubs that have many of links courses’ playing characteristics like springy sand based turf, rippling fairways, gorse and heather.
